We used to do Hallmark Keepsake ornaments for the boys. Until the year that Buster knocked over the Christmas tree, and broke nearly every single one of them, in one place or another. Since then, I've moved to sturdier ways to mark the passing of each year. Photo ornaments from Shutterfly ...

Ice Skating

This boy. Sometimes I think there is nothing he cannot do. He loves to roller skate. He has so much natural athletic ability, that he seems to pick up sports in a matter of seconds rather than minutes or hours or weeks or even seasons like the rest of us. He'd never been on a pair of ice skates before, but it certainly didn't stop him. He and his CLS worker Jack took to the ice and enjoyed their Friday night going round and round and round again.

Christmas Traditions

Thanksgiving is a whirlwind of traveling, trying to see everyone in one day. It starts early and ends late, and makes all of us a little cranky. The weekend after Thanksgiving is when we move into more holiday traditions. We go to the tree farm down the road and cut down our Christmas tree. We invite the family to join us.
