Soccer Sundays with Xander ... Sawyer and Connor got to come watch today, too. Xander has moved up and over to the oldest team, Team 3, this year ...

This season, Xander has moved up to the oldest group, Team 3. It will be different than in year's past, but he just keeps getting bigger and strong, so it's time. He may be one fo the youngest on the team, but he won't be the smallest!











And that big smile means he just scored another goal!

Season Ends

Xander wrapped up his fall TOPSoccer season today with the annual end-of-season / Halloween party. His favorite part is the small bowling game they set up. He stays here pretty much the entire time, except to walk over and pick up his award trophy from his coach, then he heads right back. He also enjoys dressing up in costume, and this year, wore the light-up stick man costume we actually ordered for last year (it was too hot for a sweats outfit last year, but since it was spitting snow today, he was pretty toasty inside).

Another TOPSoccer season has come to an end. Xander enjoys the Halloween / End of Season Party / Awards Ceremony that happens at the end of every fall season.

There's costumes, and bowling ...

Xander LOVES to bowl. Tonight we joined his TOPSoccer team on family night at the bowling alley. And we bowled 10 games in less than an hour all by ourselves. Yes, he's a little speedy!

Soccer Tournament

Our annual trip to Mason, Ohio, for Xander's TOPSoccer tournament. It's the only time each year where the team gets to play against other TOPSoccer teams from around the region. We don't love the early wake up time and drive, but Xander really enjoys playing against other teams (instead of our usual inter-team scrimmage) and the carnival games for in between game times.

Trying out the goalie position for a while (and looking over at me to see if I've witnessed his first stop) ...



Another fast breakaway (yes, the referees loved him and cheered for him as he went down to score again) ...



Goal!



And after a slight mishap during game two (the goalie gloves coach attempted to put on his hands ruined his painted hands, which cause a slight meltdown), we found a volunteer willing to repaint his hands with a bowling ball and pin and a soccer ball! All was right with the world again ...
