Big Winner, Part II

Xander was not happy when Sawyer won 1,000 tickets at the game recently. He tends to think of it as HIS game, and he's the one who's supposed to be the big winner. He got his 1,000 tickets tonight!

Table Tennis

One of Xander's new CLS workers happens to be a professional table tennis player, and he's been introducing Xander to the sport. We've always known that he was athletic, but we've impressed a professional with his hand / eye coordination now!

Rails to Trails

When brothers are away, Connor and Mom will play ... Sunday afternoon Rails to Trails bike ride. If you go all the way to the end, and then turn right, you can find a really cool swing in the field for a little break before you have to go back.

A Day on the River

Beautiful summer day ... took two boys for an afternoon of kayaking on the river ...

Of course, Xander had to have the red canoe and the red paddle ...



And he took off (only his second time in a kayak) ...



Big brother was learning for the first time (and struggled to keep up with speedy little brother) ...

Finally getting the hang of it and happier ...



Ready to turn back ...



We lasted a little over two hours, which is pretty impressive for Xander ...



Mommy loves being on the water, so it was a good day.

A Night at the Ball Park

A night out with Kendyl & Friends Foundation at the Lexington Legends ...

The boys got to walk out on the field ...



And we're most excited about the fireworks after the game ...



Xander was recording on his iPad, Sawyer was trying to hide from the excessive noise ...



He did look up to watch, just wasn't a huge fan of all the noise ...

Beach Trip

One last beach trip before school starts back next week. We loaded up the Tahoe with our family of five plus Aunt Kelly and Grammy to visit Pensacola Beach, Florida for the week.

Big Winner

Sawyer and Aunt Kelly spent part of their day at Malibu Jack's this afternoon, a little go karts and arcade fun. Sawyer and Xander both love this ridiculously expensive game that essentially just spins a wheel to get tickets. Sawyer hit the jackpot, and won 1,000 tickets. That buys a whole lot of Airheads, which is pretty much the only thing he wants from the prize counter. Aunt Kelly tried to talk him into one of the big prizes, like toys or stuffed animals, but nope, he just wanted his Airheads. Candy for days ...
