Josh finally started on the living room shelves, you know, seven months after we moved into the house ...

Allergy Testing

Who wants to take three boys to the allergy doctor? Did I mentioned two of those boys have autism and hate doctors of all types. And that allergy testing involves 92 needle pricks, per child?

Yes, fun times for all. Really.



Sawyer is in the clear on the left. No allergic reactions during the test.

Connor has moderate allergies to a few foods, molds and grasses - he's in the middle.

And Xander is the clear winner (or not, as it were) with severe allergies across the board and a little asthma on top of it. The most severe reactions were outdoor items on the far right of his back - grasses, trees, molds. Mild reactions to dust and to certain foods. Failed the breathing test, which is typical. Weekly allergy shots added to the daily eye drops, nose spray and tablets. And the inhaler gets bumped up from "as needed" to use before any and all activities outside or prolonged exercise (you know, because he's not the MOST ACTIVE CHILD we have or anything).

State Games

Getting himself psyched up to run ...



Spending more time waving to the crowd than focusing on running (he's also added about 4 inches and 15 pounds in the last year, losing a little bit of that lean, runner's body frame) ...



Photographic proof of how big he's gotten in the last year (he's standing next to the same competitor in both shots, the one on the left this year, the one on the right last year) ...



He was not happy to be in 6th place ... he remembers those shiny blue first place ribbons during regionals (and he really, really wanted "ones place" and the shiny gold medal) ...



Softball throw (added Grammy's hat to his uniform ... it was sunny and hot) ...



Just missed getting the shiny bronze medal (and not happy to be fourth place) ...



The token picture with his ribbons (not blue, and not shiny, which he DID NOT like) ...



The awards added to his previous winnings (though they didn't make it long, as I keep finding them in the trash, which is why they are incredibly wrinkled at this point) ...

Memorial Day Weekend

The boys and I made the drive south to visit Grandma and Grandpa at their cabin on the lake ...
