Shorts in January!

Now that's my boys' kind of weather! Still experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures here in our part of the world for late January. Kelly and Sawyer were out on their own adventure, so I loaded up Connor and Xander for an afternoon at the park ...

Connor found a friend from school, Hudson, so I didn't see him until the end and it was time to go ...

Wildlife Preserve

Sawyer and Aunt Kelly took advantage of the nicer (for January) weather, and went to visit the Salato Wildlife Center this afternoon ...

Radioactive

Xander has gotten into music lately, trying to take over the playlist on our drives too and from school. He has several favorites that he requests on a regular basis. "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons has been a big favorite lately.

I love how he knows the melody and the cadence of the words, even if he sometimes doesn't get the lyrics exactly right ...

Ten

It simply doesn't seem possible that the twins turned 10 today. How did that happen? Where did all those years go. Some days it's seemed really slow, but most of the time it seems much too fast.

For the first time ever, Xander made requests about what he wanted for his birthday, from the type of cupcakes (white with red icing, with Minions on them), to the type of party hats (also Minions) to the types of presents he really wanted (think dancing Minions and plush Elmos)!



Sawyer, on the other hand, was less impressed with the birthday festivities. He just wanted to watch a movie and play iPad all afternoon!





Sawyer did enjoy putting together his new Melissa & Doug stained glass mosaic (always a favorite) ...
