Should I be more concerned that our television has perpetual finger prints all over it (as in all 60 inches of it), or that I'm sometimes too far beyond caring to wipe them off at night when I'm sitting down to watch something myself (you know, that isn't animated and doesn't make me want to pull my hair out because I'm seeing it for the millionth time in my life)? Just wondering.
Oh, and I have Xander to thank for the fingerprints, in case you were wondering. Sometimes his brothers join in, mind you, but usually it's him. He's trying to be interactive with the shows, apparently. Secretly, I think Josh and I are hoping that he'll break it and we can have an excuse for a new flat screen. What we would do when they pulled that off the wall, I'm not sure. Because we can all see that happening, right?
Also, in a completely random but somewhat related aside (I sat down to a girl movie tonight, and actually did manage to wipe off the fingerprints for a change) . . . we're LOVING Netflix.
We're so very late to the game, I know, since it's been around for a while, but Josh's parents were nice enough to "gift" it for us for Christmas. We've watched lots of good (and some not so good) movies, are in the middle of a few good television series that play on channels we're too cheap to pay for with our cable (Tudors, anyone?), and are slightly addicted to adding movies to our "queue" (how exactly do you say that word, anyway?).
My favorite feature - you can actually bookmark movies that are not even available yet. I always see previews for movies that I think I would like (but not for $8.50 in the theatre), and then I totally forget about them later or can't find them when I get around to remembering them. Now I can save them and decide when they are available if I still think I want to see it. And they always have everything! Love it! Of course, they are assuming you will still be a member and paying the monthly fee, and saving the list is just one more way to keep you hooked. But I'm okay with that.
And while I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, I will especially recommend it to parents with small children. You know, the ones who rarely get out. Trust me on this.
